G4 Añejo:

Created by Felipe Camarena, G4 (four generations) is a tequila distilled at El Pandillo Distillery in Jesús María, Jalisco (Nom #1579).

The agaves are cooked in one of two stone ovens on site for 22 hours and crushed in a handmade metal tahona nicknamed "Felipestein" (Frankestein). It is distilled in copper stills for both distillations. Then the product is aged for at least 18 months in American Oak bourbon barrels.

The water used to create the tequila is a 50/50 mix of collected rainwater and spring water. 
  • Nose: Vanilla and agave, light oak, white flowers
  • Taste: Vanilla and agave continue to shine, with the addition of a mild black pepper, and soft floral notes, rounded out with a little bit of that smokiness from the charred oak. 
  • Finish: Complex but easy to drink, and true to an agave-forward profile
