A rare expression born from volcanic highlands soil, Volcan De Mi Tierra Reposado Tequila rests for 135 days in a precise blend of new American and French oak barrels, achieving a balance that few reposados dare to attempt.
Produced at Agrotequilera de Jalisco under NOM 1523 in Huaxtla, Jalisco, this reposado tequila begins with mature blue agave grown in mineral-rich volcanic terrain. The dual-barrel aging process draws equal character from both oak styles, allowing the cooked agave heart to remain front and center while layers of sweetness and smoke develop naturally around it.
- Nose: Cooked agave and ripe stone fruits with a warm current of toasted oak underneath
- Palate: Sweet toasted oak and honey lead into bits of campfire smoke, brulee citrus, and a whisper of light florals
- Finish: Long and honeyed with a full, satisfying mouthfeel
Volcan De Mi Tierra Reposado shines in a classic Tequila Old Fashioned, where its honey and smoke notes deepen beautifully. It also makes a refined Paloma, with the brulee citrus on the palate echoing the grapefruit beautifully.
Best enjoyed neat or over a large format ice cube to let its complexity fully open up. Blue agave, Huaxtla, Jalisco.
