Laud Tequila

In 1968 Gian Franco Brignone voyaged to the Jaliscan coast, also known as Costalegre(happy coast) and birthed the now famous, Costa Careyes. Named for the Leatherback sea turtles, the family has helped to protect for decades, Laúd Tequila is a tribute to Gian Francos ideals and artistry, from his grandson Rocco Brignone. Made with sustainable ingredients, from Tequila, to bottle, to packaging, Laúd joins the ranks of the next generation of Tequila brands with a connection to the earth at the heart of it’s values.

─ Behind the Brand ─

About Laud Tequila

7% of the profits of Laúd go to the ?! Careyes Foundation to help support the building of infrastructure for turtle nesting as carried out by the Sea Turtle Protection and Conservation Center. The STPCC works 24 hours a day to protect the 3.7 miles of coastline against land predators and poachers and since it’s inception in 1983, they have released over 1.75 million sea turtles from four different species(Olive Ridley, Black, Hawksbill, and Leatherback.)

Laúd is an exclusive tequila brand inspired by Careyes, aiming to bring the essence of the Brignone family legacy, the charm of its beaches and the best harvest of blanco Tequila to different corners of the world.

This project is inspired by the “Leatherback” turtle, the largest species of sea turtle in the world which can be found in Costa Careyes, where this brand was born. The logo resembles the silhouette of the turtle and an agave, bringing together the best of both worlds.
