Tequila Plata Platinium perfectly blends an optimal harvesting process for sugar concentration with a harmonious fermentation process that gives it a unique smoothness. Despite not being aged in barrels, this tequila boasts an intense profile with notes of cooked agave that linger on the palate.

Don Ramón has made 100% blue agave tequila since 1996, using agave from the Highlands of Jalisco. Most expressions are double distilled in steel stills, and the Tahona edition is cooked slowly in masonry ovens and crushed with a volcanic stone wheel. The bottles are a big part of the story: each one is engraved, painted or decorated by hand, and the Limited Editions carry Swarovski crystals. Mexican music icon Luis Miguel is a partner in the brand and signed its Cerámica collection. Don Ramón also makes mezcal from Salmiana agave and plants two new Salmiana agaves for every one it harvests.

Jamay is a lakeside town on the eastern shore of Lake Chapala, in Jalisco's Ciénega region, at about 1,530 meters. Its main square is known for a monument to Pope Pius IX. The climate is warm and semi-dry, averaging about 19°C, with most of the rain falling from June to September. Jamay lies inside the tequila denomination of origin, which covers all of Jalisco, and tequila is distilled in the town.
