It’s been a long way to go to push to have them stand in front, and there is still a long way to go, but in the last ten years, more have emerged to take their rightful place. This flight highlights some of those women who have major roles in these brands; Ana Maria Romero Master Distiller for Mijenta Tequila; Cristina Allen founder and owner Volans Tequila; and Dia Simms, CEO and founding member of Lobos Tequila. It also highlights different styles and expressions of making Tequila, including a blanco, reposado, and joven.

Tasting Notes
Aroma: sweet cooked agave, white flowers, minerality, meyer lemon, pear
Palate: cooked agave, citrus, white pepper, crisp minerality, light floral bouquet
Finish: rounded and refreshing mouthfeel, with a smooth and clean finish
Mijenta Reposado
Aroma: cooked agave, honey, vanilla, cacao nibs, toffee
Palate: light oak, toffee notes, bergamot, honey, jam, orange blossoms
Finish: smooth and long with sweetness and slight oak heat
Lobos Joven
Aroma: freshly baked cookies, vanilla, baking spices
Palate: very smooth and on the higher end of the sweetness spectrum, notes of vanilla, caramel, cinnamon and butter
Finish: long lasting and sweet
