Crafted by master distillers Temo and Mateo Garcia under NOM 188, Elote is made in the traditional style of a celebrational mezcal, with roasted corn added before final distillation. This family technique, unique to the Garcias, sets Elote apart from standard espadin expressions and makes it a compelling introduction to the world of Oaxacan mezcal.


  • Nose: Strong and spicy aromatics open alongside melted butter and a warm, inviting campfire character.
  • Palate: Sweet roasted agave leads into roasted sweet corn, with smoke playing a supporting role. Green peppercorns, finger limes, and a light florality round out the mid-palate beautifully.
  • Finish: Balanced and medium bodied, with a satisfying, lingering warmth.

Elote shines in a Mezcal Mule, where ginger beer amplifies its roasted corn sweetness, and it brings unexpected depth to a Naked and Famous cocktail in place of a smokier mezcal.
