Crafted in the highlands of Jalisco with nothing to hide, Alma del Jaguar Anejo is a hand-bottled, unfiltered tequila built on a rare dual-yeast philosophy that sets it apart from nearly everything else in the category.
Produced at NOM 1414 in Arandas, Jalisco under the guidance of Master Distiller Feliciano Vivanco, this anejo is a proprietary blend of two distinct tequilas made entirely from 100% blue agave, water, and yeast. Eighty percent of the blend ferments with natural wild yeast, while the remaining twenty percent uses champagne yeast imported from France, a technique developed in collaboration with master distiller Sergio Cruz and Adam Fodor, President of the International Tequila Academy. Each bottle is filled and sealed by hand at the source in Los Altos de Jalisco, preserving every nuance of the spirit exactly as it left the still.
- Nose: Vanilla, banana, honey, and caramel
- Palate: Banana, vanilla, cooked agave, oak, and baking spice
- Finish: Long and lingering, with warm oak and sweet agave echoing well after the last sip
Alma del Jaguar Anejo is rich and layered enough to elevate a classic Old Fashioned, and its vanilla and caramel depth makes it a natural fit for a Tequila Manhattan as well.
Best enjoyed neat or on a single large ice cube to let the complexity open up fully. A 100% blue agave anejo tequila from Arandas, Jalisco.
