Agaves for this expression are hand-selected in the field by the Orendains to be harvested only for this expression. The mosto is fermented naturally in traditional stone tanks, which added with the over-ripeness of the agaves, creates a sweetness evident in the final product.
Gran Clase is aged for 48 months in single barrel bourbon American oak barrels so if you're a bourbon fan, add this one to your cocktail cart.
Palate: Fresh cut wood, dark caramel sweetness with traces of malt and vanilla.
Finish: Slightly thick, with a bright and spicy finish. Balanced complexity without over-powering oak.
Aromas: Agave-forward, with mild wood notes, sweet tropical fruit balanced with light jalapeno, bell pepper unique to this lowlands Extra Añejo.
