A celebration of life, music, and artistry, the Clase Azul 2024 Dia de los Muertos Musica Edition is a limited-release anejo tequila that doubles as a hand-crafted collectible decanter honoring the rich musical traditions of one of Mexico's most beloved festivities.

Produced at Casa Tradicion (NOM 1595) in San Agustin, Jalisco, this expression is a 26-month anejo aged in American whiskey casks and finished in Scotch whisky casks, a process that layers remarkable depth and complexity into every pour. The iconic hand-painted decanter arrives in a deep plum hue, with a 24-karat gold-plated ornament featuring a fine patina finish depicting a jovial, accordion-playing Catrina. Golden and lilac illustrations on the base portray an eclectic musical ensemble parading to the sounds of traditional Dia de los Muertos instruments, making this bottle as visually stunning as the spirit within.

  • Nose: Rich and inviting aromas shaped by extended anejo aging, with warm oak, dried fruit, and the subtle sweetness of cooked agave carried through by whisky cask influence.
  • Palate: Silky and full-bodied, with layered notes of caramel, vanilla, toasted wood, and ripe stone fruit, reflecting the complexity of dual-cask maturation.
  • Finish: Long and warming, with a refined oakiness and gentle spice that linger beautifully, characteristic of a well-rested Jalisco anejo.

The Musica Edition shines when sipped neat or on a single large ice cube, allowing the full depth of the anejo to unfold. For those who enjoy a cocktail, it brings exceptional richness to an Old Fashioned or a classic Tequila Manhattan.

Best served neat or lightly chilled to honor the craftsmanship of this limited release. Crafted from blue Weber agave in Jalisco, Mexico, this is a bottle built equally for the collection and the glass.

Clase Azul is not just a pretty bottle--but their amazingly beautiful bottles are the first thing that attracts many people with an eye for art. Not only are their bottles works of art in themselves, with handmade design and precious metal medallions custom-crafted by renowned Mexican artists Tomas Saldivar and Leon Fernandez, respectively, but they have even deeper value--they create dozens of jobs for the community, as each bottle is hand-crafted in the small town of Santa María Canchesda.
