Born from a legendary celebration and aged to perfection, Don Julio 1942 Anejo Tequila is a tribute to the year Don Julio Gonzalez first began crafting tequila in the highlands of Jalisco.
Produced at Diageo Mexico Operaciones under NOM 1449 in Atotonilco el Alto, Jalisco, this anejo is crafted from mature blue agave plants and aged for a minimum of two and a half years in American white oak barrels, developing a richness that sets it apart in the premium tequila category.
- Nose: Warm caramel, cooked agave, toasted oak, and sweet vanilla
- Palate: Cooked agave with layered notes of toasty oak, vanilla, and dark chocolate
- Finish: Long and lingering with a smooth, satisfying warmth
Don Julio 1942 shines in an Old Fashioned where its caramel and vanilla depth takes center stage, and it is equally at home in a Tequila Sour, where citrus brightens its rich, chocolatey character.
Best enjoyed neat or over a single large ice cube to let the complexity unfold; crafted from blue agave in Atotonilco el Alto, Jalisco, Mexico.
