The fourth rancho in the Lagrimas del Valle series and the first sourced from Michoacan, La Loma Reposado is a rare field-specific tequila that tells the story of a single hillside harvest. Rested just 3 months, it preserves the vibrant character of agave grown at 1,540 meters in Villamar, Michoacan.

Under NOM 1123, Master Distiller Chava Rosales employs a split-process approach that defines the Lagrimas house style: 70% of the agave is crushed by roller mill and fermented in stainless steel, while the remaining 30% is tahona-crushed and fermented in open-air wooden tanks with agave fibers. Agave averaging 38% brix is cooked intermittently over four days using an 8-hours-on, rest-and-repeat method, then double-distilled and blended. The result is a reposado tequila of uncommon depth and terroir-driven precision.

  • Nose: Tangerine, lemongrass, and canela over a warm foundation of roasted agave and anise.
  • Palate: Salted caramel and cantaloupe brighten the mid-palate, woven through with roasted agave and a whisper of spice.
  • Finish: Clean and gently sweet, with lingering citrus and a soft herbal echo.

La Loma Reposado shines in a classic Paloma, where its citrus brightness plays off grapefruit and a salted rim, and holds its own in a refined Tequila Old Fashioned built around its caramel and spice backbone.

Best served neat or on a single large rock to let the terroir-forward profile open fully. La Loma Reposado Tequila is produced from highland agave in Villamar, Michoacan, by Master Distiller Chava Rosales at NOM 1123 in El Arenal, Jalisco.

Lagrimas is produced in collaboration with the Rosales family, of Tequila Cascahuin, lead by current Master Distiller, Salvador “Chava” Rosales Trejo – the fourth generation of his family, their distilling tradition dating back to 1904 in El Arenal, Jalisco; within the heart of the “Valley” of Tequila. Each bottling carries the vintage date of harvest, the name of the single ranch, as well as details pertaining to its elevation, location and distinctive characteristics. Lagrimas del Valle translates to “Tears of the Valley” – representing the tears that form both on a tasting glass from high quality Agave spirits, as well as the “tears” or condensed spirits falling into the still, the transformation of Agave into Tequila itself.
