Our favorite Tequila cocktail here at Sip Tequila is the lesser known, but excessively tasty, Paloma. Follow our recipe below with any of these brand expressions and you're set up for sipping success. Best served on a warm day, with good friends.

1 Siete Leguas Reposado
1 Solento Reposado
1 Mijenta Reposado

Sip Tequila Paloma Recipe

- Juice of ½ of a grapefruit
- ½ oz fresh squeezed lime juice
- 2 oz lightly aged Reposado
- Sparkling water
- Gourmet salt and grapefruit wedges for garnish

Rub the rim of a Collins glass with a grapefruit wedge, and dip the rim into the salt. Add Tequila, grapefruit juice, and lime, stir to combine. Fill with ice. Top with sparkling water and garnish with a wedge.

Tasting Notes

Siete Leguas Reposado

Aroma: cooked agave, toasted oak, sweet potato, baked apples

Palate: slightly spicy and sweet, well balanced blend of cooked agave, herbal qualities, and fresh citrus notes

Finish: full of agave flavor with oak spice on the finish

Solento Reposado

Aroma: Initial fragrances of toffee, lemon, and sweet spiciness like candied ginger

Taste: Familiar flavors of cooked agave and warm vanilla, lead this reposado, followed by savory notes of bell pepper, earth, and freshly baked bread.

Finish: complex finish, dry yet honeyed

Mijenta Reposado

Aroma: cooked agave, honey, vanilla, cacao nibs, toffee

Palate: light oak, toffee notes, bergamot, honey, jam, orange blossoms

Finish: smooth and long with sweetness and slight oak heat
