About Honor Tequila

Tequila Honor del Castillo is owned by Mexican actress Kate del Castillo, whose father introduced her to tequila and who played the tequila-drinking lead in La Reina del Sur. It is made in Arandas, in the Jalisco Highlands, with the Vivanco family of Feliciano Vivanco y Asociados, NOM 1414, fourth-generation agave growers. Mature blue agave is cooked in masonry ovens, fermented slowly with the brand's own yeast and distilled in small copper pot stills. The aged tequilas rest in small 200 liter white American oak barrels.
