About Las Melodías de la Luna Mezcal

Las Melodías de la Luna was founded in 2022 by Jacqui Thompson and Ingrid Chavez, who share a love of music and agave and a Minnesota home base. Their mezcal is made in Santa Catarina Minas, Oaxaca, by maestra mezcalera Rosario Ángeles. She left a career teaching languages and began making mezcal in 2020, despite her family's doubts. Every bottle is ancestral mezcal from 100% maguey, distilled in clay pots. The Espadín is clay pot distilled on its own, and the Cacao is Espadín distilled with cacao beans.
