Crafted by the legendary Master Distiller Francisco Jimenez, known affectionately as Don Chico, Cazcanes No. 7 Reposado Tequila is a standout expression from the agave-rich lowlands of Amatitan, Jalisco. Rested for up to 11 months in American White Oak ex-bourbon barrels and confirmed Additive Free by Tequila Matchmaker, this is reposado done with conviction.
Sourced from Navichi Springs and produced under NOM 1614, Cazcanes No. 7 reflects the earthy, mineral character that defines Amatitan terroir. The extended barrel rest coaxes exceptional depth from the blue agave without masking the spirit's natural identity, a balance that puts this tequila in rare company.
- Nose: Salted caramel, warm cooked agave, and caramelized sweet potato
- Palate: Malolactic funk with a thick, luxurious mouthfeel, baked pears, cinnamon, cloves, and a satisfying black pepper burn
- Finish: Dry and lingering, with touches of dried fruit and oak
The complexity of Cazcanes No. 7 Reposado makes it a natural fit for a refined Old Fashioned or a well-built Tequila Manhattan, where its barrel-forward richness and spice can truly shine.
Best enjoyed neat or on a single large ice cube to appreciate the full character of this Amatitan, Jalisco reposado. Blue agave, Amatitan, Jalisco.
