A collaboration between Codigo 1530 and country music legend George Strait, this Rosa Reposado tequila earns its collector status through a rare double-barrel finishing process that sets it apart from anything else in the category.
Produced at Varo Destileria in Amatitan, Jalisco under NOM 1616, this limited 2021 release is first rested in brand new, uncharred French Oak Napa Valley Cabernet wine barrels before being transferred to Spanish Sherry barrels for a secondary finish. The wine barrel aging coaxes out notes of white flowers, vanilla, and bright citrus, while the Sherry barrel finishing rounds the sweetness and adds a satisfying depth of body unique to the Rosa expression.
- Nose: White flowers, fresh vanilla, and a lift of citrus zest with a soft winey sweetness.
- Palate: Smooth and layered, with vanilla cream, ripe fruit, and a gentle oakiness shaped by both Cabernet and Sherry barrel influence.
- Finish: Long and rounded, with lingering sweetness and a subtle dried-fruit warmth from the Sherry finish.
The Rosa Reposado shines in an Paloma or an Agave Spritz, where its fruit-forward character and natural sweetness complement citrus and effervescence beautifully.
Best enjoyed neat or over a large ice cube to fully appreciate its barrel complexity. Produced from blue agave in Amatitan, Jalisco, and presented in a collector bottle featuring George Strait's image and signature.
