Crafted by Master Distiller Erika Sangeado in the highland heartland of Amatitan, Jalisco, Padre Azul Anejo is a richly layered tequila aged at least 18 months in previously used American oak bourbon barrels. The result is a smooth, indulgent spirit that rewards slow sipping as much as it rewards the eye, arriving in a hand-blown glass bottle crowned with a hand-sculpted Day of the Dead skull and wrapped in hand-woven leather.
Produced under NOM 1466 in Amatitan, Jalisco, this anejo tequila draws its character from extended barrel aging that melds the natural sweetness of cooked blue agave with the warm, familiar depth of bourbon oak. Each bottle is a handcrafted statement, making Padre Azul Anejo as fitting for a gift as it is for a personal collection.
- Nose: Vanilla, cooked agave, bourbon, and toasted oak
- Palate: Caramel, oak, cooked agave, vanilla, almond, and cocoa
- Finish: Rich and sweet with lingering notes of bourbon and dry oak
Padre Azul Anejo is a natural fit for an Old Fashioned, where its caramel and vanilla notes shine alongside a touch of bitters, or enjoyed neat as an after-dinner sipper in place of a dessert digestif.
Best served neat or on the rocks to let the oak and sweet agave character fully unfold. Padre Azul Anejo is a blue agave tequila produced in Amatitan, Jalisco.
