A rare single barrel selection with only 240 bottles produced, this Padre Azul Reposado was hand-picked by Master Distiller Erika Sangeado and Sip's own Carolyn Kissick, making it one of the most exclusive pours in our portfolio.

Crafted at NOM 1466 in the agave heartland of Amatitan, Jalisco, this reposado rests for nine months in barrels previously used for Four Roses bourbon, a choice that lends the spirit its warm, fruit-forward character without ever overshadowing the blue agave at its core. Each numbered bottle is hand-blown glass, wrapped in hand-woven leather with a hand-sculpted skull bottle top honoring the Day of the Dead tradition.

  • Nose: Honey, golden delicious apple, touches of caramel, cedar, and earth
  • Palate: Juicy apple and salted caramel lead into cinnamon bark, roasted agave, and stone fruits
  • Finish: Medium bodied and fruity with a satisfying, lingering warmth

This Padre Azul Reposado shines in an Oaxacan Old Fashioned or a Tequila Sour, where its caramel and apple notes can take center stage alongside a simple supporting cast.

Best enjoyed neat or over a single large ice cube to let the complexity unfold fully. This set includes two Padre Azul tasting glasses and arrives in a luxuriously lined collector's case, making it an exceptional gift for any agave spirits enthusiast. Produced from blue agave in Amatitan, Jalisco.

Tequila is a spirit of passion and romance, and with Padre Azul Tequila, we add yet another Tequila love story to our portfolio. Padre Azul was born from the love of the son of a high-quality Vogelbeerschnaps producer (a traditional Austrian spirit made out of rowan berries) and a Tapatia from Jalisco, Mexico who met while studying in Germany. Produced in the town Amatitán in the Valley of Tequila by Master Distiller Erika Sangreado, Padre Azul uses local Valley agaves, traditional ovens, and used bourbon barrels to create a line of smooth sipping Tequilas.
