Crafted in the historic tequila heartland of Amatitan, Jalisco, Padre Azul Reposado is as much a work of art as it is a spirit, arriving in a hand-blown glass bottle crowned with a hand-sculpted skull and wrapped in hand-woven leather. Master Distiller Erika Sangeado ages this reposado tequila a minimum of 8 months in previously used American oak bourbon barrels, coaxing a beautifully layered, sweet-forward character that sets it apart from the crowd.

Produced at NOM 1466 in Amatitan, Jalisco, Padre Azul Reposado is made from mature blue agave and rested in bourbon barrels long enough to develop genuine depth without losing the soul of the agave. The result is a smooth, refined reposado tequila that reflects both the terroir of its region and the meticulous craft of its distiller.

  • Nose: Vanilla, cooked agave, warm cinnamon, and a gentle whisper of oak.
  • Palate: Rich caramel, maple, butterscotch, and honey round out a core of warming baking spices.
  • Finish: Long and indulgent, with lingering sweetness that gives way to a touch of dry oak.

The sweet, layered profile of Padre Azul Reposado makes it a natural fit for an Oaxacan Old Fashioned, where its caramel and spice notes shine alongside a touch of mole bitters. It also elevates a classic Tequila Sour, its honeyed depth balancing beautifully with fresh citrus.

Best enjoyed neat or on the rocks as an after-dinner sipper, though equally at home in cocktails. Padre Azul Reposado is a blue agave tequila from Amatitan, Jalisco, presented in a collector-worthy bottle that makes it an exceptional gift.

Tequila is a spirit of passion and romance, and with Padre Azul Tequila, we add yet another Tequila love story to our portfolio. Padre Azul was born from the love of the son of a high-quality Vogelbeerschnaps producer (a traditional Austrian spirit made out of rowan berries) and a Tapatia from Jalisco, Mexico who met while studying in Germany. Produced in the town Amatitán in the Valley of Tequila by Master Distiller Erika Sangreado, Padre Azul uses local Valley agaves, traditional ovens, and used bourbon barrels to create a line of smooth sipping Tequilas.
