A once-in-a-lifetime pour, the San Matias 135 Year Anniversary Blend Anejo Tequila unites five legendary expressions from the Casa San Matias portfolio into a single, never-to-be-repeated limited release of just 9,000 bottles.
Crafted at Tequila San Matias de Jalisco under NOM 1103 in the highland region of Ojo de Agua de Latillas, Jalisco, this commemorative blend brings together Orgullo anejo, Rey Sol Extra anejo, Tahona anejo, Gran Reserva Extra anejo, and Pueblo Viejo anejo into one harmonious expression. Each bottle is hand-adorned with 135 European crystals in collaboration with PRECIOSA, making it as visually striking as what lies inside.
- Nose: A complex bouquet shaped by the depth and range of five premium aged expressions, expect layers of warm oak, dried fruit, and highland agave character.
- Palate: Rich and multi-dimensional, with the sweetness of extra anejo maturity balanced by the earthy brightness of Jalisco blue agave and hints of vanilla, caramel, and toasted wood.
- Finish: Long, smooth, and warming, with a lingering elegance that reflects the full depth of the blended anejo and extra anejo components.
The complexity of this anniversary blend makes it exceptional for sipping neat, but it also elevates classic cocktails like an Old Fashioned or a Tequila Manhattan where aged spirit character is the star.
Best enjoyed neat or over a single large ice cube to let the full character develop. Distilled from blue agave in the highland terroir of Ojo de Agua de Latillas, Jalisco, this is a collector-worthy expression from one of Mexico's most storied distilleries.
