From the highlands of Jesus Maria, Jalisco, Terralta Anejo is the rare aged tequila that never loses sight of its agave roots, delivering a rich, barrel-kissed spirit that blanco lovers will adore.
Crafted by fourth-generation Master Distiller Felipe Camarena at NOM 1579, this anejo rests 12 to 18 months in American oak barrels previously seasoned with Bourbon, drawing on deep well water pulled from 150 meters below ground for a distinctly earthy, mineral foundation. Verified Additive Free by Tequila Matchmaker and made from 100% agave, Terralta Anejo is a transparent expression of what Jalisco tequila can be at its most honest.
- Nose: Cooked agave, stone fruit, peppery oak, and light caramel.
- Palate: Full-flavored cooked agave with present but restrained barrel influence, toasty and spicy with rounded notes of vanilla, cinnamon, and roasted spices.
- Finish: Lasting and pleasantly oily with a slight funk and fermented sweetness.
Terralta Anejo shines in a classic Old Fashioned, where its vanilla and spice notes take center stage, and it holds its own beautifully in a Tequila Manhattan alongside sweet vermouth and a dash of bitters.
