From the highland agave fields of Los Altos, Jalisco, Volans Extra Anejo is a patient spirit refined over three-plus years in American oak bourbon casks under the care of master distiller Felipe Camarena.


Crafted at NOM 1579 in Jesus Maria, this 100% Blue Weber agave tequila is made with a blend of rain, spring, and well water and is entirely additive free, meaning no glycerine, flavors, colors, or any other additives ever touch the liquid.


  • Nose: Sweet cooked agave, light oak, cinnamon, and dried apricots
  • Palate: Roasted agave, vanilla bean, lightly toasted oak, smoked almonds, black pepper, and butterscotch
  • Finish: Round and smooth with dry notes of pepper and oak on the tail end

The depth and polish of Volans Extra Anejo make it a natural fit for a classic Old Fashioned or a refined Tequila Sour where its vanilla and spice complexity can shine through.


Best enjoyed neat or on a single large ice cube to fully appreciate its layered character; made from 100% Blue Weber agave grown in the Los Altos highlands of Jalisco.

Named after the constellation of the flying fish, Volans Tequila has truly found its place amongst the stars in the world of Tequila, and in the Sip Tequila portfolio. Volans is made at the El Pandillo Distillery in Jesus Maria, Jalisco by Master Distiller Felipe Camarena using highland agave from the local areas of Los Altos, grown at 6,800 feet in altitude. Important to the flavor and methodology in making Volans is the water source used in the process. El Pandillo harvests rainwater, in addition to sourcing water from a deep well, and local natural spring.
