Volcan De Mi Tierra XA Reposado is not your average reposado tequila. This bold expression from the highlands of Huaxtla, Jalisco pushes the craft forward by blending reposado, anejo, and extra-anejo tequilas and aging the result in proprietary Grace Casks made of American Oak.

Produced at Agrotequilera de Jalisco under NOM 1523, this Volcan tequila reflects the terroir of Jalisco with precision and artistry. The innovative blending process, a rarity in the tequila world, creates a spirit of uncommon depth and balance, while the signature illuminated bottle brings a striking visual presence to any bar cart.

  • Nose: Vanilla, toasted oak, dried red fruits, and dark chocolate
  • Palate: Roasted agave paired with balanced oak, a touch of fruitiness, and a well-rounded, full mouthfeel
  • Finish: Buttery and lingering with hints of cinnamon sugar

The richness of this Jalisco reposado makes it a natural fit for an elevated Tequila Old Fashioned or a sophisticated Paloma where the oak-driven complexity can shine through.

Best enjoyed neat or on the rocks to appreciate its full character. Volcan De Mi Tierra XA Reposado is crafted from blue agave grown in the highlands of Huaxtla, Jalisco.

NOM: 1523
Volcán de Mi Tierra is named for the Tequila volcano, whose eruption about 200,000 years ago left the valley's soil rich in basalt and iron. The brand began in 2017 as a partnership between Moët Hennessy and the Gallardo family, who have owned Hacienda La Gavilana in the volcano's shadow since the 17th century. Master tequilier Tomás Pérez blends agave from the Valley and the Highlands at the brand's distillery in Huaxtla, Jalisco. The agave cooks for 42 hours in stone ovens and ferments slowly in wood tanks before two distillations in copper pots.
LOCATION

Huaxtla, Jalisco

Huaxtla is a farming community of about 2,000 people in the municipality of El Arenal, in the Tequila valley west of Guadalajara. The land around it is mostly flat volcanic farmland between roughly 1,400 and 1,600 meters, with a semi-warm climate and summer rains. Blue agave and corn are the main crops, and tequila making is the municipality's leading industry. El Arenal lies within the Agave Landscape that UNESCO named a World Heritage Site in 2006.
