Arriesgado Blanco Tequila is a bold declaration of what unaged highland agave spirits can be at their finest. Crafted for those who seek purity and character in every sip, this blanco stands confidently among the best expressions Mexico has to offer.

Produced in the highlands of Jalisco from 100% Blue Weber agave, Arriesgado Blanco is distilled with a commitment to showcasing the natural brightness of the agave plant. The highland terroir lends the spirit its signature vibrancy, with mineral-rich soils and cooler temperatures coaxing sweeter, more aromatic qualities from the piñas before they are cooked, crushed, fermented, and double distilled to crystal clarity.

  • Nose: Fresh citrus zest, ripe agave nectar, white pepper, and a lift of green herbs
  • Palate: Bright and expressive with sweet cooked agave, lemon peel, subtle floral notes, and a clean mineral backbone
  • Finish: Crisp and lingering with gentle spice and a satisfying warmth that fades gracefully

Arriesgado Blanco shines in a classic Paloma, where its citrus-forward character plays beautifully alongside grapefruit soda and a salted rim. It is equally at home in a well-built Margarita, bringing fresh agave brightness that elevates the cocktail from ordinary to memorable.

Best enjoyed neat or on the rocks to appreciate the full expression of its highland character, or as the foundation of your favorite agave cocktail. Arriesgado Blanco Tequila is made from 100% Blue Weber agave, sourced from the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico.

Arriesgado, Spanish for risky, is the work of Roberto Real, a fourth-generation tequilero in Amatitán who set out to recover the tequila his great-grandmother made in the 1940s. Seven-year-old agave is slow baked in stone and clay ovens, crushed by hand with wooden mallets in canoa troughs and left to ferment naturally in wooden vats before double distillation in small copper stills. The Reposado rests in French oak that once held Napa Valley Cabernet, and the Añejo in ex-bourbon barrels from Buffalo Trace. Some years production is as small as 2,000 bottles.

Amatitán sits in the Tequila valley of Jalisco, a short drive southeast of the town of Tequila. Half of the municipality is flat farmland, mostly red clay soils over volcanic basalt, and blue agave is its main crop in a hot, dry climate with summer rains. Local tradition holds that tequila was first distilled in the nearby Tecuane barranca, where an early distillery site is still a local landmark. Amatitán lies within the Agave Landscape that UNESCO named a World Heritage Site in 2006.
