Arriesgado Reposado Tequila is a bold, thoughtfully crafted spirit that rewards those willing to take a chance on something exceptional. Rested and refined, this reposado brings together the raw soul of highland agave with the warmth of oak aging.

Produced in the Jalisco highlands, Arriesgado sources mature Blue Weber agave to create a reposado that honors traditional tequila-making methods. The piñas are slow-cooked in brick ovens before double distillation in copper pot stills, then the spirit rests in American oak barrels long enough to develop depth and color without sacrificing the bright agave character that defines a quality reposado.

  • Nose: Warm vanilla, toasted oak, and fresh cooked agave with hints of dried fruit and light caramel
  • Palate: Smooth and balanced with notes of butterscotch, roasted agave, gentle spice, and a touch of citrus zest
  • Finish: Medium-long and warming with lingering oak, soft sweetness, and a clean herbal lift

Arriesgado Reposado shines in a classic Tequila Old Fashioned, where its oak-driven richness and natural sweetness do the heavy lifting. It also elevates a Paloma, adding a round, mellow backbone that pairs beautifully with grapefruit and sparkling water.

Best enjoyed neat or on the rocks to fully appreciate its complexity, Arriesgado Reposado Tequila is crafted from 100% Blue Weber agave grown in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico.

NOM: 1459
Arriesgado, Spanish for risky, is the work of Roberto Real, a fourth-generation tequilero in Amatitán who set out to recover the tequila his great-grandmother made in the 1940s. Seven-year-old agave is slow baked in stone and clay ovens, crushed by hand with wooden mallets in canoa troughs and left to ferment naturally in wooden vats before double distillation in small copper stills. The Reposado rests in French oak that once held Napa Valley Cabernet, and the Añejo in ex-bourbon barrels from Buffalo Trace. Some years production is as small as 2,000 bottles.

Amatitán sits in the Tequila valley of Jalisco, a short drive southeast of the town of Tequila. Half of the municipality is flat farmland, mostly red clay soils over volcanic basalt, and blue agave is its main crop in a hot, dry climate with summer rains. Local tradition holds that tequila was first distilled in the nearby Tecuane barranca, where an early distillery site is still a local landmark. Amatitán lies within the Agave Landscape that UNESCO named a World Heritage Site in 2006.
