Cabal Reposado Tequila brings a refined yet rebellious spirit to the aged tequila category, crafted for those who appreciate the depth that time and oak can coax from blue agave. This reposado strikes a balance between the vibrant character of the highlands and the mellow warmth that careful barrel aging delivers.

Produced from 100% blue agave in the storied tradition of Jalisco, Cabal Reposado rests in oak barrels long enough to develop complexity without losing the agave-forward soul that defines a well-made reposado tequila. The result is a spirit that honors both craft and character.

  • Nose: Fresh agave with warm hints of vanilla, light oak, and a touch of caramel that speaks to its time in barrel
  • Palate: Smooth and rounded, with cooked agave sweetness, subtle spice, and layers of toasted oak and soft dried fruit
  • Finish: Clean and lingering, with a gentle warmth and a whisper of sweet wood that invites another sip

Cabal Reposado shines in an Oaxacan Old Fashioned or a classic Tequila Sour, where its oak-kissed sweetness adds depth without overpowering the other ingredients. It is equally at home sipped neat or on the rocks.

Best enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or in spirit-forward cocktails that let its barrel aging take center stage. Cabal Reposado is crafted from 100% blue agave, produced in Jalisco, Mexico.

Everardo Gonzalez grew up in California, but his father's family has farmed agave in Jalisco for more than a century, and he spent over a decade creating Tequila Cabal. Every bottle uses certified organic, estate-grown agave from the Montes branch of that family, agaveros since 1911 and the first in Jalisco to grow certified organic agave. The agave matures six years or more, cooks in brick ovens, and ferments with a yeast grown with a UCLA lab from the family's own agave leaves. Each label lists the parcel, its coordinates and the age of the agave.
LOCATION

Amatitán, Jalisco

Amatitán sits in the Tequila valley of Jalisco, a short drive southeast of the town of Tequila. Half of the municipality is flat farmland, mostly red clay soils over volcanic basalt, and blue agave is its main crop in a hot, dry climate with summer rains. Local tradition holds that tequila was first distilled in the nearby Tecuane barranca, where an early distillery site is still a local landmark. Amatitán lies within the Agave Landscape that UNESCO named a World Heritage Site in 2006.
