Crafted at Destileria Casa de Piedra in El Arenal, Jalisco under NOM 1586, this reposado earns its place among the premium tier through meticulous process and exceptional raw material.


Produced in the heartland of tequila country in El Arenal, Jalisco, Cobalto sources fully mature blue Weber agave and processes it at Casa de Piedra, a distillery known for its commitment to traditional, quality-driven production. The reposado expression rests in oak long enough to develop layered complexity while keeping the agave character front and center.


  • Nose: Warm cinnamon and cedar open the glass, followed by sweet cooked agave and a touch of honey.
  • Palate: Bright cinnamon and butterscotch lead into honeyed cooked agave, with a velvety, round mouthfeel and a backbone of peppery spice and creamy vanilla pudding.
  • Finish: Long and warm with a full, satisfying mouthfeel that lingers beautifully.

Cobalto Organic Tequila is created at Destileria Casa De Piedra, in El Arenal, from valley agaves, using an organic yeast culture that grows natural in Weber Blue Agave. They are certified Organic by the USDA, Sagarpa in Mexico, and the European commission in addition to having their bioagricert. While they are a relatively young brand when it comes to marketing to the US, the Tequila stunned us upon sampling. The profiles are clean and full of agave flavor, with a delicious full, honeyed and slightly oily mouthfeel. While the hue of the the reposado and añejo may lead you to believe they are heavily oaked profiles, both are perfectly balanced between oak and loads of sweet, caramelized agave, cinnamon, and bits of pepper.
