One of only 9,000 bottles ever produced, the Lobos 1707 Limited Edition Anejo is a collector-worthy expression that marries meticulous barrel craft with the bold soul of Jalisco tequila. Aged in American white oak and finished in Pedro Ximenez Sherry casks using the Solera method, this bottle is as much a conversation piece as it is a pour worth savoring.
Crafted at Compania Tequilera de Arandas in the highlands of Arandas, Jalisco under NOM 1460, this limited release anejo benefits from 12 to 18 months of patient aging before its distinctive PX Sherry finish layers on a final wave of complexity. Each bottle is hand-sealed in dark blue wax and features a debossed Lobos 1707 wolf head, arriving ready to gift or display.
- Nose: Fresh herbal aromas open alongside woody depth, with hints of smoky coffee, sweet agave, sherry, bright citrus, and a whisper of tobacco.
- Palate: Rich and warming, with walnuts, caramel, and vanilla leading the way before a lively blend of spices including ginger adds dimension.
- Finish: Long-lasting and sweetly satisfying, with a smooth fade that lingers well past the last sip.
The Lobos 1707 Limited Edition Anejo shines on its own over a single large ice cube, but it also brings remarkable depth to an Old Fashioned or a classic Tequila Manhattan, where its sherry-kissed sweetness and spice can fully unfold.
Best enjoyed neat or on the rocks to honor its craft. Produced from blue agave in Arandas, Jalisco, this is a rare release that rewards the collector and the enthusiast alike.
