Bold, uncompromising, and built for those who demand more from their reposado, Lost Lore High Proof Reposado is a limited release tequila that refuses to whisper when it can roar.

Crafted in the tradition of high proof agave spirits, this reposado spends time in oak to develop layers of character without sacrificing the raw intensity that defines the Lost Lore approach. The result is a spirit that honors the heritage of Mexican tequila production while pushing the boundaries of what a rested expression can be.

  • Nose: Rich, inviting agave with warm oak undertones and hints of dried fruit and subtle spice
  • Palate: Bold cooked agave, toasted oak, caramel, and a peppery heat that commands attention
  • Finish: Long, warming, and assertive with lingering vanilla and spice

The proof-forward intensity of Lost Lore High Proof Reposado makes it an exceptional base for a Spicy Margarita or a tequila Old Fashioned, where its depth and heat shine through rather than fade into the mix.

Best enjoyed neat or over a single large ice cube to let the full character open up. A limited release expression from Lost Lore, this high proof reposado tequila is one to secure before it disappears.

Lost Lore is the tequila of founder Arturo Lamas III. His great grandfather made agave spirits in the early 1900s, and when the family craft was lost, Arturo set out to learn it again. Lost Lore is made at NOM 1414, Feliciano Vivanco y Asociados in Arandas, with master distiller Sergio Cruz. Mature highland agave is cooked in stone and brick ovens, crushed with a roller mill and fermented with champagne yeast in stainless steel tanks, to classical music. It is distilled twice in copper pots, made with deep well water and bottled with no additives.

Arandas sits at about 2,000 meters in Los Altos de Jalisco, the highland plateau east of Guadalajara. Its red, clay-rich soils and mild, temperate climate let blue agave grow slowly and build up sugar, the source of the sweet, fruity and floral style the Highlands are known for. Agave fields cover much of the municipality, and Arandas is one of the busiest tequila-making towns in Mexico. The town is also known for its giant church bell, often called the largest in Latin America.
