From the highlands of Arandas, Jalisco, Tequila Ocho Plata is a single-estate blanco that captures the terroir-driven philosophy of master distiller Carlos Camarena in every unaged, crystal-clear pour.
Produced at NOM 1474 under Camarena's meticulous oversight, Ocho Plata is crafted from fully mature blue agave grown in the red clay soils of Jalisco's Los Altos region, slow-cooked to draw out the full depth of the plant before fermentation and distillation.
- Nose: Cooked agave leads with bright citrus, black pepper, and a grounding whisper of earth and fresh grass.
- Palate: Full and expressive, with cooked agave at the core, layered alongside black pepper, cool mint, and a wave of tropical fruit that keeps things lively and fresh, with subtle earthy undertones throughout.
- Finish: Long and gradually fading, clean and light-bodied with a pleasing, refreshing close.
Tequila Ocho Plata shines in a classic Margarita, where its citrus brightness and herbal edge are right at home, and it brings exceptional depth to a Paloma as well.
Best enjoyed neat or over a single large ice cube to let the agave character breathe fully. Tequila Ocho Plata is an unaged blanco tequila crafted from blue agave in Arandas, Jalisco.
