A reposado that leads with agave and never lets go, Viva Mexico Reposado from the celebrated Feliciano Vivanco distillery in Arandas, Jalisco delivers the bold, fruit-forward character this legendary NOM 1414 house is known for.

Crafted at Feliciano Vivanco y Asociados under the guidance of Sergio Vivanco and Sergio Cruz, this reposado tequila is aged an average of 8 months in used American White Oak barrels. The result is a lightly aged spirit that preserves the vibrant agave-forward personality of the distillery while layering in just enough barrel influence to add depth and sweetness. Confirmed additive free by Tequila Matchmaker, this Arandas reposado is as honest as it is expressive.

  • Nose: Bruleed fruits, sweet agave, earthy undertones, and fresh citrus
  • Palate: Full cooked agave, ripe stone fruits, light toasted vanilla, a punch of cinnamon, and a whisper of pepper
  • Finish: Medium bodied and slightly creamy with a lingering agave warmth

Viva Mexico Reposado shines in a Tequila Old Fashioned, where its cinnamon and vanilla notes play beautifully alongside a touch of agave nectar and bitters. It also makes a bold, flavorful Paloma that lets the fruit and spice shine through.

Best enjoyed neat or on the rocks to appreciate its full complexity. Viva Mexico Reposado is a Blue Weber agave tequila produced in the Highlands of Jalisco, Mexico.

Viva México is the Vivanco family's own tequila, made at their Feliciano Vivanco y Asociados distillery in Arandas, in the Jalisco Highlands. The family grew agave around Arandas for generations before Feliciano Vivanco and his children opened the distillery in 1994. Highland agave is cooked in brick ovens, crushed with a roller mill, fermented without fibers in stainless steel tanks and double distilled in copper pot stills. The distillery is known for playing classical music to its fermenting tanks.

Map of Jalisco, Mexico, with Arandas marked

Arandas sits at about 2,000 meters in Los Altos de Jalisco, the highland plateau east of Guadalajara. Its red, clay-rich soils and mild, temperate climate let blue agave grow slowly and build up sugar, the source of the sweet, fruity and floral style the Highlands are known for. Agave fields cover much of the municipality, and Arandas is one of the busiest tequila-making towns in Mexico. The town is also known for its giant church bell, often called the largest in Latin America.
