A rare signature release from the highlands of Jalisco, this Yeyo Tequila Reposado is one of only 14 barrels selected by Master Distiller Sergio Cruz for the 2024 Traditional Edition, each bottle hand-signed by the man behind the craft. Aged up to 7 months in barrels that previously held single barrel rum, this Arandas reposado delivers a layered complexity that sets it apart from every other tequila on the shelf.
Produced at NOM 1414 in Arandas, Jalisco, Yeyo Tequila draws from a volcanic aquifer for its water source, lending a distinctive mineral character to the spirit from the very first step. The Traditional Single Barrel program releases only a handful of barrels each year, and Barrel 8 represents that philosophy at its finest: a sip exclusive, single barrel reposado tequila with genuine provenance and a story worth telling.
- Nose: Aromas of toasted oak, vanilla, and caramel with subtle rum-cask sweetness and hints of dried fruit from the unique barrel heritage.
- Palate: Rich and rounded with baked agave, brown sugar, warm spice, and a whisper of molasses carried over from the rum barrel finish.
- Finish: Long and smooth with lingering oak, a touch of pepper, and a gentle sweetness that invites another sip.
The depth and warmth of this reposado make it a natural fit for a Tequila Old Fashioned, where the oak and sweetness can truly shine, or enjoyed alongside a classic Paloma for a contrast that highlights its agave character.
Best savored neat or on a single large ice cube to appreciate the full range of this limited release; crafted from highland blue agave in Arandas, Jalisco, and signed by Master Distiller Sergio Cruz.
