─ Behind the Brand ─

About Corralejo Tequila

Corralejo is made at Hacienda Corralejo in Pénjamo, Guanajuato, one of the few distilleries outside Jalisco allowed to make tequila. The hacienda dates to 1755 and is the birthplace of Miguel Hidalgo, the father of Mexican independence. Blue Weber agave from the estate's own fields is slow-roasted in clay ovens, fermented with a yeast strain cultivated at the hacienda and double distilled in copper pot and column stills. Corralejo blows its own bottles in an on-site glass factory, and every label goes on by hand.
