A tribute bottled in extraordinary scarcity, El Gran Legado Single Barrel Reposado honors the late Pedro Gaston Izaguirre Gonzalez, the grandfather whose "No Steps Skipped" philosophy shaped this entire brand's soul. With only 276 bottles drawn from a single American Oak ex-Bourbon barrel, this El Arenal, Jalisco reposado is as personal as tequila gets.

Under the guidance of Master Distiller Salvador "Chava" Rosales at NOM 1123, this single barrel reposado was filled and rested for 120 days before a 30-day stabilization in stainless steel tanks, allowing the spirit to settle into its truest expression. Confirmed additive free by Tequila Matchmaker, every step from agave to bottle reflects the uncompromising standard Pedro Izaguirre Gonzalez built his legacy upon.

  • Nose: Warm vanilla and toasted oak from the ex-Bourbon barrel, with soft caramel and a whisper of dried fruit that speaks to its unhurried 120-day rest.
  • Palate: Smooth and rounded with baking spice, butterscotch, and roasted agave character that carries the integrity of an unadulterated single barrel spirit.
  • Finish: Long and gently sweet, with lingering oak and a clean agave warmth that honors the no-shortcuts tradition behind every drop.

El Gran Legado Single Barrel Reposado shines when sipped neat or on a single large ice cube, though it also elevates a classic Old Fashioned or a refined Tequila Sour with its balanced barrel character.

Best enjoyed neat or over ice to experience the full story in the glass. A single barrel, additive free reposado tequila from El Arenal, Jalisco, produced under NOM 1123 and limited to 276 bottles worldwide.

El Arenal sits at about 1,450 meters in the Tequila valley west of Guadalajara and is known as the gateway to agave country. Its name comes from the sandy ground of the first settlement, and it belonged to Amatitán until it became its own municipality in 1923. Most of the land is flat or gently rolling farmland on volcanic rock, planted with blue agave and corn. Tequila making is the main industry, and the town lies within the Agave Landscape that UNESCO named a World Heritage Site in 2006.
