Sourced from La Loma, the fourth field in the Lagrimas del Valle harvest program and the first to draw from the state of Michoacan, this blanco tequila from El Arenal, Jalisco is a rare expression of terroir-driven agave craft.

Under the guidance of Master Distiller Chava Rosales at NOM 1123, La Loma Plata is produced using a dual-method approach: agave is cooked intermittently over four days, then split between a 70% roller mill crush fermented in stainless steel and a 30% tahona crush fermented in open-air wooden tanks. Harvested at an elevation of 1,540 meters with an average brix of 38%, the agave arrives at peak ripeness and complexity.

  • Nose: Agave forward and expressive, with bright citrus peel, ripe melon, roasted pine nuts, and fresh clover.
  • Palate: Layered and lively, with vivid citrus, subtle minerality, and rich roasted agave woven throughout.
  • Finish: Clean and punctuated, with lingering agave sweetness and a touch of earthy depth.

La Loma Plata shines on its own but holds its character beautifully in a classic Paloma or a Blanco Margarita, where its citrus brightness and mineral backbone can fully express themselves.

Best served neat or over a single large ice cube to appreciate its full range. A blanco tequila crafted from highland-grown agave in El Arenal, Jalisco.

Lagrimas is produced in collaboration with the Rosales family, of Tequila Cascahuin, lead by current Master Distiller, Salvador “Chava” Rosales Trejo – the fourth generation of his family, their distilling tradition dating back to 1904 in El Arenal, Jalisco; within the heart of the “Valley” of Tequila. Each bottling carries the vintage date of harvest, the name of the single ranch, as well as details pertaining to its elevation, location and distinctive characteristics. Lagrimas del Valle translates to “Tears of the Valley” – representing the tears that form both on a tasting glass from high quality Agave spirits, as well as the “tears” or condensed spirits falling into the still, the transformation of Agave into Tequila itself.
