Lobos 1707 Extra Anejo is a masterclass in patience and craft, shaped by years of aging and a rare Pedro Ximenez Sherry barrel finish that sets it apart from anything else in the extra anejo category.
Produced at Compania Tequilera de Arandas in the highlands of Arandas, Jalisco, this expression rests for 3 to 4 years in American white oak barrels before being finished in PX Sherry wine barrels using the traditional Solera method. The result is an ultra-smooth tequila of uncommon depth, bottled at 80 proof with every layer of its long maturation intact.
- Nose: Deeply expressive and perfectly aromatic, with rich agave at the core, layered with sherry, bright citrus, and warm tobacco tones
- Palate: Polished and complex, leading with oak and sherry and closing with a whisper of molasses
- Finish: Long lasting and pleasantly sweet, with the warmth of the Solera-finished barrels carrying through to the very end
Lobos 1707 Extra Anejo is best enjoyed neat or on a single large ice cube, though its sherry-forward richness also makes it a stunning choice for an elevated Old Fashioned or a Tequila Manhattan.
Serve in a wide-mouthed glass to let the aromas fully open. Crafted from highland blue agave in Arandas, Jalisco, this is a bottle that rewards slow, attentive sipping.
