A rare ensamble from one of Neta's youngest producers, this mezcal unites wild Bicuixe capon and Espadín capon harvested under a full moon in the rocky highlands of Logoche, Miahuatlan, yielding just 200 liters of something genuinely singular.

Master distiller Juan Vasquez Jimenez crafted this batch entirely from capon agaves, a method that redirects the plant's energy inward by cutting the quiote before flowering. Roughly 900kg of two-year wild Bicuixe (Agave karwinskii) and a near-equal weight of one-year Espadín capon (Agave angustifolia) were harvested from white and red tierra cascajo soils in late September 2021, then distilled under NOM 142 in Logoche for a Spring 2023 release.

  • Nose: Sweet oranges, fennel, lime oil, and warm straw
  • Palate: Sweet roasted agave, verdant summer orchard, melon, tarragon, candied cherries, and peppery heat
  • Finish: Bright and sweet with a dry minerality

This mezcal's layered sweetness and herbal complexity make it a natural fit for a Mezcal Negroni or a Oaxacan Old Fashioned, where its orchard fruit and peppery character can shine alongside bitter or smoky counterparts.

Best enjoyed neat or over a single large ice cube to open up the aromatics. A small-batch ensamble of wild Bicuixe capon and Espadín capon from Logoche, Miahuatlan.
