Aged 9 months in a combination of French and American oak barrels, Riazul Reposado Tequila earns its 93-point rating from BTI International Reviews of Spirits with a beautifully mellow character that rewards both seasoned enthusiasts and those new to the world of premium tequila.


Produced at Compania Tequilera de Arandas under NOM 1460 in the highland tequila heartland of Arandas, Jalisco, Riazul Reposado draws on the mineral-rich red clay soils and high-altitude terroir that define the region's elegant, fruit-forward style. The dual-barrel aging approach layers complexity without sacrificing the approachable softness that sets this expression apart.


  • Nose: Sweet fruits and white flowers with inviting notes of vanilla and light oak
  • Palate: Meyer lemon and white flowers, rounded out by vanilla and gentle oak
  • Finish: Very quick, dry, and slightly sweet

The clean, citrus-kissed profile of Riazul Reposado makes it a natural fit for a classic Paloma or a well-balanced Tequila Sour, where its subtle sweetness and floral lift can genuinely shine.

In the early 1990’s Iñaki Orozco inherited a very special piece of land, handed down in his family, for over 200 years. When the Guerra de Independencia de México (Mexican War of Independence) was being fought, the highlands of Jalisco had served as a key battlefront. Iñaki’s ancestor, Maria Higinia Gomez served as a high counselor to the Mexican rebel leaders in this time and for her service, she was granted 10,000 acres of land. Most of the land, she gave away to revolutionaries who fought for Mexico’s freedom, but the 250 acres she kept, is the land handed down to, Iñaki, and where he founded Riazul Tequila.
