The world's oldest blanco tequila just got its boldest chapter yet. Tierra de Ensueno Blanco Batch 7, hand-selected by Jay Baer, pushes the very definition of what a blanco can be.
Crafted in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico using only agave, water, and yeast, this additive-free blanco was aged for 59 days and 23 hours in extra rare bourbon casks, pulled at the final possible moment before crossing into reposado territory. That razor-thin window produced something genuinely rare: a highland blanco with the depth and soul of a reposado, bottled in a limited run of just 816 bottles. Batch 7 is the most ambitious release in the Ensueno lineup to date.
- Nose: Bright cooked agave with warm vanilla and subtle oak from the bourbon cask rest, layered with fresh citrus and a hint of toasted grain.
- Palate: Silky and rounded with roasted agave at the center, caramel undertones, white pepper, and a gentle sweetness that reflects the highland terroir.
- Finish: Long and smooth with lingering oak spice, honeyed agave, and a clean mineral note that sets it apart from any conventional blanco.
Batch 7 is exceptional sipped neat or on a large rock, but its depth and structure also make it a standout in a Tommy's Margarita or a Tequila Old Fashioned where the bourbon cask character can truly shine.
Serve neat or over a single large ice cube to appreciate the full range of this rare highland blanco. Produced in Jalisco, Mexico using 100% agave with no additives, Tierra de Ensueno Blanco Batch 7 Jay Baer Select is a collector's bottling in every sense.
