About Manuscrito Tequila

Manuscrito was started by three friends from Wisconsin and is made at El Sabino distillery in Jesús María, in the Los Altos highlands of Jalisco, at almost 7,000 feet. Master distiller Oscar Vazquez Camarena works with single-estate blue Weber agave grown 6 to 8 years, slow cooked at least two days in stone-brick ovens and crushed with a four-part roller mill. Fermentation runs in open-air steel tanks with native yeast, followed by double distillation in copper pots. Each release is a numbered chapter, bottled at 42.5% or 51.55% ABV.
