Don Ramón has made 100% blue agave tequila since 1996, using agave from the Highlands of Jalisco. Most expressions are double distilled in steel stills, and the Tahona edition is cooked slowly in masonry ovens and crushed with a volcanic stone wheel. The bottles are a big part of the story: each one is engraved, painted or decorated by hand, and the Limited Editions carry Swarovski crystals. Mexican music icon Luis Miguel is a partner in the brand and signed its Cerámica collection. Don Ramón also makes mezcal from Salmiana agave and plants two new Salmiana agaves for every one it harvests.
