A once-in-a-cellar collaboration between Rey Sol and Sip Tequila, this 10 year extra anejo single barrel is aged a full decade in French oak and presented in a hand-crafted crystal decanter designed by celebrated Mexican artist Sergio Bustamante.
Produced at Casa San Matias under NOM 1103 in Ojo de Agua de Latillas, Jalisco, this limited release draws on generations of agave craftsmanship from one of the region's most storied distilleries. A single barrel selection means every bottle reflects one unblended moment in time.
- Nose: Deep amber with rich waves of dark chocolate, dried fruit, and toasted oak layered over sweet cooked agave and warm baking spice.
- Palate: Slow-unfolding and generous, with dark fruit, vanilla, caramelized oak, and a refined spice complexity that speaks to a full decade of patient aging.
- Finish: Long and elegant, with lingering chocolate, dry oak tannins, and a whisper of agave sweetness that refuses to rush.
This is a sipping tequila first and foremost, best enjoyed neat or over a single large ice cube. For those who prefer a cocktail, it elevates a Tequila Old Fashioned or an Oaxacan-style riff beautifully without losing its character.
Serve neat in a wide-mouthed glass to let the aromas fully open. Crafted from highland blue agave in Ojo de Agua de Latillas, Jalisco, this is a collector-grade expression from San Matias that rewards those who appreciate the art of slow aging.
