Two full years of patience yield something worth savoring: Suerte Anejo is a richly layered tequila aged in charred American oak whiskey barrels, striking a rare balance between vibrant agave character and the deep warmth of extended barrel time.

Crafted under the guidance of Master Distiller Pedro Hernandez Barba at NOM 1530 in San Francisco de Asis, Jalisco, Suerte Anejo draws on the highland terroir and a dedication to small-batch production that defines the Suerte approach. The 24-month rest in charred white oak imparts complexity without ever obscuring the spirit beneath.

  • Nose: Dried pineapple, toasted oak, warm dry summer grasses, and a thread of caramel that deepens with time in the glass.
  • Palate: Honeyed cooked agave opens into cinnamon and dried fruits, with a slight creaminess that rounds out every sip.
  • Finish: Dry and medium-bodied, with a clean, lingering warmth that invites another pour.

Suerte Anejo shines neat or on a large rock, and it brings exceptional depth to an Old Fashioned or a Tequila Manhattan, where its oak and dried fruit notes play beautifully against a dash of bitters.

Best served neat or over a single large ice cube to let the full character unfold. Suerte Anejo is a blue agave tequila from San Francisco de Asis, Jalisco, produced at NOM 1530.

Suerte is Spanish for luck, and was given that name to honor the great fortune in discovering this 100% pure blue weber agave tequila. Born in the hills of Jalisco, Mexico and raised in the foothills of Boulder, Colorado, the Suerte team believes ‘you can make tequila fast, or you can make it right’, which is why their process takes up to 4x longer than the industry average and is among the 1% of brands that use the traditional way of crushing agave with the Tahona two-tone stone.
