A crown jewel in the Jose Cuervo legacy, Reserva De La Familia Reposado represents the brand's most prestigious expression, crafted with generations of Jalisco heritage and reserved for those who seek something truly exceptional.

Produced from mature blue Weber agave grown in the rich volcanic soils of Jalisco, Mexico, this reposado tequila undergoes careful barrel aging that deepens its character while preserving the vibrant agave soul at its core. The Cuervo family has guarded this recipe for over a century, and every bottle reflects that devotion to craft.

  • Nose: Warm oak and roasted agave open alongside hints of vanilla, dried fruit, and a whisper of cinnamon spice
  • Palate: Rich and layered, with cooked agave sweetness, caramel, toasted wood, and subtle earthy complexity
  • Finish: Long and warming with lingering oak, gentle spice, and a smooth, rounded close

Reserva De La Familia Reposado shines in a classic Tequila Old Fashioned, where its oak-forward depth plays beautifully with bitters and a touch of agave nectar. It also elevates a premium Margarita beyond expectation.

Best enjoyed neat or on the rocks to honor its aged complexity. Crafted from 100% blue Weber agave in Jalisco, Mexico, this is a reposado tequila built for moments worth savoring.

Jose Cuervo has made tequila since 1795, and its La Rojeña distillery in the town of Tequila, founded in 1812, is the oldest active distillery in Latin America. Reserva de la Familia is the family's top tier, made from agave grown in certified organic family-estate fields in the Tequila Valley. Piñas are hand trimmed, steam roasted 40 to 42 hours in masonry ovens, crushed on a four-step roller mill and distilled twice in copper pot stills. Aged expressions rest in new American and French oak. Since 1995, each year's Extra Añejo has come in a box designed by a Mexican artist.
LOCATION

Tequila, Jalisco

Tequila is the town that gave the spirit its name, set at about 1,180 meters in the valley below the Tequila volcano, some 60 km northwest of Guadalajara. Blue agave covers the volcanic soils between the volcano and the canyon of the Río Grande de Santiago, a landscape UNESCO named a World Heritage Site in 2006. Large-scale agave distilling began here around 1600, and several of the oldest working distilleries in Mexico still operate in town. Tequila was named a Pueblo Mágico in 2003.
