A bold tribute to Aggie pride, La Caza Reposado Tequila Texas A&M Maroon Edition brings together the heritage of traditional reposado craftsmanship and the deep-rooted spirit of Texas A&M University. This collector-worthy bottle is as much a statement on the shelf as it is a premium sipping experience.

La Caza Reposado is crafted from hand-selected blue agave and rested in oak barrels, allowing time to mellow the spirit and layer in warmth and complexity. The result is a reposado tequila that honors the artisanal tradition of Jalisco while wearing its maroon colors with unmistakable pride.

  • Nose: Warm cooked agave with hints of vanilla, toasted oak, and a touch of caramel sweetness
  • Palate: Smooth and well-rounded with notes of butterscotch, dried fruit, and subtle earthy agave character
  • Finish: Gentle and lingering with soft spice and a clean oak warmth

La Caza Reposado shines in a classic Reposado Margarita or an Oaxacan Old Fashioned, where its oak-rested depth and natural sweetness complement citrus and bitter notes beautifully.

Best enjoyed neat or on the rocks to appreciate its barrel-aged complexity; this blue agave reposado tequila from Jalisco is a distinguished pour for Aggie faithful and premium tequila lovers alike.

La Caza, Spanish for the hunt, was born in Austin. Founder Drake Screws spent a decade chasing his idea of the perfect tequila, visiting more than sixty distilleries in Jalisco before creating La Caza with the Vivanco family in Arandas. The blue Weber agave is grown by fifth-generation farmers and handpicked in the Jalisco Highlands. Cooking and fermentation run for more than 90 hours with Mozart playing in the background, and the finished tequila goes into hand-blown glass bottles.

Arandas sits at about 2,000 meters in Los Altos de Jalisco, the highland plateau east of Guadalajara. Its red, clay-rich soils and mild, temperate climate let blue agave grow slowly and build up sugar, the source of the sweet, fruity and floral style the Highlands are known for. Agave fields cover much of the municipality, and Arandas is one of the busiest tequila-making towns in Mexico. The town is also known for its giant church bell, often called the largest in Latin America.
