Original Grit Blanco Tequila redefines what a premium blanco can be, blending 75% Plata and 25% Cristalino for a spirit that carries the vitality of an unaged tequila with a polished, refined edge. The result is a remarkably expressive pour that stands apart from the crowd.

This thoughtfully crafted blend brings together the bright, raw energy of Plata tequila with the gentle clarity of Cristalino, producing a blanco that feels both fresh and elevated. The precision behind the blend speaks to a meticulous approach to quality, delivering layered complexity at every stage of the tasting experience.

  • Nose: Bright white grapefruit, fresh mint, and green mango with a tropical lift of freshly cut pineapple.
  • Palate: Young coconut, lime zest, and white peach in a clean, well-balanced expression of agave character.
  • Finish: Delicate and mineral, with a crisp precision that lingers elegantly.

Original Grit Blanco Tequila shines in a classic Tommy's Margarita, where its citrus-forward profile and mineral finish take center stage, and it brings exceptional lift to a Paloma built with fresh grapefruit and a salted rim.

Best enjoyed neat or over a single large ice cube to appreciate its full aromatic range. Original Grit Blanco Tequila is a premium expression for the discerning spirits enthusiast seeking depth without compromise.

Original Grit was created by the team at Kemo Sabe and is imported by Romano Imports of Chicago. It is made in the Tequila valley of Jalisco by the Partida family, five generations into their craft, from estate-grown Blue Weber agave matured seven to ten years. The agave is cooked in wood-burning brick ovens, crushed entirely by tahona and fermented in open air with wild yeasts and the agave fibers. It is double distilled in copper pot stills, and each expression is a blend: the Blanco pairs Plata with Cristalino, while the Reposado and Añejo draw on Extra Añejo aged at least five years in French oak.

Amatitán sits in the Tequila valley of Jalisco, a short drive southeast of the town of Tequila. Half of the municipality is flat farmland, mostly red clay soils over volcanic basalt, and blue agave is its main crop in a hot, dry climate with summer rains. Local tradition holds that tequila was first distilled in the nearby Tecuane barranca, where an early distillery site is still a local landmark. Amatitán lies within the Agave Landscape that UNESCO named a World Heritage Site in 2006.
