Maestro Dobel Diamante is widely credited as the world's first cristalino tequila, a groundbreaking blend of extra anejo, anejo, and reposado expressions that is then charcoal-filtered to achieve striking crystal clarity without sacrificing depth or complexity.

Crafted in the Highlands of Jalisco from 100% blue Weber agave, Diamante undergoes a meticulous multi-year aging process before filtration strips away the color while preserving the rich, oak-kissed character that comes from extended barrel rest. The result is a tequila that looks like a blanco but drinks with the sophistication of a well-aged spirit.

  • Nose: Warm vanilla, toasted oak, and sweet agave with hints of dried fruit and a delicate floral lift
  • Palate: Silky and refined, offering caramel, honey, ripe stone fruit, and a touch of baking spice layered over smooth cooked agave
  • Finish: Long, clean, and gently sweet with lingering oak and a whisper of white pepper

Maestro Dobel Diamante shines in an elevated Tequila Sour or a simple Cristalino Paloma, where its clarity and complexity can take center stage without competing with heavy mixers.

Best enjoyed neat or over a single large ice cube to appreciate its full range of flavors. Maestro Dobel Diamante is a cristalino tequila made from 100% blue Weber agave, crafted in the Highlands of Jalisco, Mexico.

Maestro Dobel comes from Juan Domingo Beckmann Legorreta, an 11th-generation tequila maker whose family story spans more than 250 years. Agave from a single family-owned estate in the Tequila Valley is steam-roasted in masonry brick ovens at La Rojeña II and double distilled in copper pot stills. Most bottles start on a four-step roller mill, while Dobel Tahona is crushed by a volcanic stone wheel and fermented with wild yeast. Dobel introduced Diamante, the original cristalino, a filtered blend of Reposado, Añejo and Extra Añejo. Each bottle is signed by its creator and a maestro tequilero.
LOCATION

Tequila, Jalisco

Tequila is the town that gave the spirit its name, set at about 1,180 meters in the valley below the Tequila volcano, some 60 km northwest of Guadalajara. Blue agave covers the volcanic soils between the volcano and the canyon of the Río Grande de Santiago, a landscape UNESCO named a World Heritage Site in 2006. Large-scale agave distilling began here around 1600, and several of the oldest working distilleries in Mexico still operate in town. Tequila was named a Pueblo Mágico in 2003.
