Maestro Dobel Humito is unlike any blanco tequila you have encountered before, blending the bright, unaged character of a silver tequila with the alluring smokiness typically reserved for mezcal. This one-of-a-kind spirit bridges two worlds, delivering a genuinely singular drinking experience rooted in Mexican agave tradition.

Crafted by the Maestro Dobel team in the highlands of Jalisco, Humito begins with the clean, herbaceous foundation of a classic blanco but is finished with a subtle smoking process that layers in depth without overwhelming the agave's natural personality. The result is a smoked silver tequila that stands apart from every other expression in the category.

  • Nose: Fresh agave and citrus zest open first, followed by a gentle, wood-kissed smokiness that weaves through without dominating
  • Palate: Crisp and lively upfront with notes of green apple, white pepper, and roasted agave, the smoke arrives mid-palate in soft, rounded waves
  • Finish: Warm and lingering, with a clean smoky fade that leaves the palate refreshed and reaching for another sip

Maestro Dobel Humito shines in a Smoky Paloma, where the tequila's smoked character plays beautifully against grapefruit soda and a salted rim. It also makes for a compelling Smoked Margarita, elevating the classic cocktail with unexpected depth and complexity.

Best enjoyed neat or on the rocks to appreciate its full range of character, though it performs equally well in cocktails that welcome a touch of smoke. Maestro Dobel Humito is produced from blue Weber agave in Jalisco, Mexico.

Maestro Dobel comes from Juan Domingo Beckmann Legorreta, an 11th-generation tequila maker whose family story spans more than 250 years. Agave from a single family-owned estate in the Tequila Valley is steam-roasted in masonry brick ovens at La Rojeña II and double distilled in copper pot stills. Most bottles start on a four-step roller mill, while Dobel Tahona is crushed by a volcanic stone wheel and fermented with wild yeast. Dobel introduced Diamante, the original cristalino, a filtered blend of Reposado, Añejo and Extra Añejo. Each bottle is signed by its creator and a maestro tequilero.
LOCATION

Tequila, Jalisco

Tequila is the town that gave the spirit its name, set at about 1,180 meters in the valley below the Tequila volcano, some 60 km northwest of Guadalajara. Blue agave covers the volcanic soils between the volcano and the canyon of the Río Grande de Santiago, a landscape UNESCO named a World Heritage Site in 2006. Large-scale agave distilling began here around 1600, and several of the oldest working distilleries in Mexico still operate in town. Tequila was named a Pueblo Mágico in 2003.
