Barrel 11 of the Yeyo Reposado Traditional Edition is a rare find: a Sip Tequila exclusive single barrel release, aged up to 7 months in a cask that previously held single barrel rum, bringing an extraordinary depth to this Jalisco tequila.
Crafted under the direction of Master Distiller Sergio Cruz at NOM 1414 in Arandas, Jalisco, this reposado is distilled using water drawn from a volcanic aquifer and selected personally by Cruz from only 14 Traditional Edition barrels released for 2025. The prior rum barrel aging adds layers of complexity that set this apart from any standard reposado expression.
- Nose: Aromas characteristic of rum cask-influenced reposado, with warm oak, vanilla, and subtle dried fruit.
- Palate: Expect rich cooked agave sweetness, toasted wood, and hints of caramel and dark fruit carried over from the rum barrel.
- Finish: Smooth and lingering, with a warm oakiness and a whisper of molasses-touched sweetness.
Barrel 11 shines in a Tequila Old Fashioned, where its rum-cask character adds intrigue, or sipped alongside a classic Paloma to let its complexity speak for itself.
Best enjoyed neat or on a single large ice cube to appreciate its full character; a blue agave reposado tequila from the highlands of Arandas, Jalisco, bottled as a limited Sip Exclusive release.
