From the fertile highlands of Amatitan, Jalisco, Cazcanes Anejo No. 7 is the unhurried work of Master Distiller Francisco Jimenez, known as Don Chico, a craftsman whose dedication to additive-free tequila speaks louder than any label claim.
Crafted at NOM 1614 using water drawn from Navichi Springs, this anejo tequila is aged a minimum of one year in American White Oak ex-Bourbon barrels, a process that draws depth from the wood while letting the spirit's agave character remain front and center. Confirmed additive free by Tequila Matchmaker, Cazcanes No. 7 is the real thing.
- Nose: Barrel spices, wet earth, raw mosto, and a intriguing whisper of mushroom
- Palate: Rich and full-bodied, with agave and toasted nuts leading into dried fruits and damp tobacco
- Finish: Deep and lasting, with a satisfying warmth of black pepper heat
The richness of Cazcanes Anejo No. 7 makes it a natural fit for a classic Old Fashioned or a Tequila Manhattan, where its dried fruit and barrel spice notes can truly shine.
Best enjoyed neat or over a single large ice cube to let the complexity unfold; a distinguished anejo tequila from Amatitan, Jalisco that rewards slow sipping.
